Return and Refund Policy

Last updated: August 31, 2026

We want you to feel good about your Indigenous Lifestyle purchase. This policy explains how returns, exchanges, damaged items, and refunds are handled.

Return window

You may request a return within 30 calendar days after your order is delivered.

To be eligible, an item must be unworn, unused, unwashed, and in the condition in which it was received. Original tags, hygiene seals, accessories, and packaging must be included where applicable. Proof of purchase is required.

Starting a return

Email support@indigenouslifestyle.ca with your order number, the item you want to return, and the reason for the return. If the item is damaged, defective, or incorrect, include clear photographs.

We will provide return instructions and the correct return address. Items sent without return authorization might not be accepted. Do not send returns to a carrier, supplier, or address shown on a shipping label unless our support team instructs you to do so.

Return shipping

For a change-of-mind return or sizing issue, the customer is responsible for return shipping. We recommend using a tracked service because the customer remains responsible for the parcel until it is received.

If an item is damaged, defective, or different from what was ordered, Indigenous Lifestyle will provide reasonable return instructions and cover the approved return shipping cost.

Items that cannot be returned

  • Gift cards
  • Personalized, customized, or made-to-order products
  • Made-to-order or customized beadwork
  • Opened or used air fresheners
  • Items marked final sale at the time of purchase
  • Items that have been worn, washed, altered, damaged after delivery, or returned without their original tags or required packaging

Stock beadwork that was not customized may be eligible for return if it meets the standard return conditions.

Exchanges

Exchanges depend on current inventory. The fastest option is usually to return the eligible item and place a new order after the return is approved. Contact us first so we can confirm the available options.

Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

Inspect your order when it arrives. Contact us within 7 days after delivery if an item is damaged, defective, or incorrect. Include the order number, a description of the problem, photographs of the item, and photographs of the packaging when relevant. We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate replacement, repair, refund, or other remedy.

Refunds

After a returned item is received and inspected, we will email you with the result. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Original shipping charges are not refundable unless the return results from our error, a defect, or another right available under applicable law.

Allow up to 10 business days after approval for the refund to appear. Banks and card issuers can require additional processing time. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, contact us.

Order cancellations

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change an order. We cannot guarantee changes after fulfillment has started. If the order has shipped, the standard return process applies.

Legal rights

This policy does not limit rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law. Nova Scotia consumers may have statutory cancellation rights if required contract information is not provided or if goods are not delivered within the time required by law.
