Terms of Service

Last updated: August 31, 2026

These Terms of Service govern the use of indigenouslifestyle.ca and purchases from Indigenous Lifestyle. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or complete a purchase.

1. Store operator

The store operates under the name Indigenous Lifestyle and is owned by WASOQITESK HANDCRAFTED INC. Business contact information is provided in the Contact Information and Legal Notice published in the checkout footer.

2. Eligibility and lawful use

You must be capable of entering into a binding contract in your province or territory. You may use the website only for lawful personal or commercial shopping purposes. You must not interfere with website security, introduce malicious code, scrape or copy protected content without permission, impersonate another person, or use the service to violate any law or third-party right.

3. Product information

We work to provide accurate product descriptions, photographs, colours, availability, dimensions, and prices. Screen settings and lighting can affect how colours appear. Handmade and beadwork items may have minor variations that reflect the nature of the work. These variations are not necessarily defects.

We may correct errors, update information, or discontinue products at any time. If a material error affects an order already placed, we will contact the customer and provide an appropriate option under applicable law.

4. Prices, taxes, and payment

Unless stated otherwise, prices are shown in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes and shipping charges are displayed before the order is submitted.

Checkout and payment processing are provided through Shopify and its payment partners. Indigenous Lifestyle does not directly collect or store complete payment-card numbers through this website. Payment is subject to authorization and the terms of the payment provider.

5. Orders

An order is an offer to purchase. We may accept, decline, or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including unavailable inventory, pricing or listing errors, suspected fraud, payment failure, shipping restrictions, or an inability to verify order information. If payment was collected for an order we cancel, the appropriate amount will be returned to the original payment method.

Shopify sends an order confirmation to the email address supplied at checkout. Review it promptly and contact us if information is incorrect.

6. Shipping and delivery

Shipping regions, rates, processing times, delivery estimates, tracking, and address responsibilities are described in the Shipping Policy. Delivery dates are estimates unless applicable law requires otherwise.

7. Returns and refunds

Eligibility, exclusions, return shipping, exchanges, damaged products, refunds, and cancellations are described in the Return and Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.

8. Intellectual property and cultural respect

The website, brand name, logos, photographs, product designs, graphics, text, and other original content are owned by Indigenous Lifestyle or used with permission. They are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. No licence is granted except the limited right to use the website for its intended purpose.

You may not reproduce, manufacture from, resell copies of, alter, distribute, or commercially exploit protected designs or content without written permission. The brand's cultural stories, teachings, symbols, and creative work must be treated with respect and must not be misrepresented as belonging to or being endorsed by another person, nation, community, or organization.

9. Reviews and submitted content

If you submit a review, photograph, comment, or other content, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it is accurate, lawful, and respectful. You grant Indigenous Lifestyle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to display and use that content for operating and promoting the store, subject to applicable privacy law. You may request removal of personal content by contacting us.

10. Third-party services and links

The store relies on third parties such as Shopify, payment providers, ClickShip, hosting providers, and delivery carriers. Third-party sites and services have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for a third-party site merely because the website links to it, but this does not remove responsibilities that apply to Indigenous Lifestyle under law.

11. Availability and security

We work to keep the website accurate, available, and secure, but interruptions, maintenance, or technical problems can occur. We may suspend or change portions of the service when reasonably necessary.

12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided on an as-available basis. Indigenous Lifestyle is not liable for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited remains unaffected.

Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory warranties, consumer rights, remedies for negligence, or other obligations that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Privacy

Our collection, use, disclosure, storage, and protection of personal information are described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting mandatory consumer rights available in the customer's province or territory.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms when the business, services, or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Changes apply after publication and do not retroactively remove rights attached to an existing order.

16. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@indigenouslifestyle.ca.
